Independent research group leader

  Own position funded by the DFG since Feb. 2010.
• Institute of Physiological Chemistry (Prof. Walter Neupert's chair),
  Ludwig-Maximilians University, Munich (2006 - 2010).
• Prof. Larry Simpson's lab, University of California, Los Angeles, USA.
  Short stays in 2007 and 2008 in order to learn how to work with the parasite
  Leishmania tarentolae (supported by the Bavaria California Technology Center).

Post-doctoral scientist (2005 - 2006)

• Prof. Katja Becker's lab, Interdisciplinary Research Center,
  Justus-Liebig University, Giessen.

• Co-leader of the SFB535 project A12 "redox metabolism in tropical malaria".

• Prof. Alan Cowman's lab, Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research
  Melbourne, Australia. Stay in order to learn the genetic manipulation of
  the malaria parasite Plasmodium falciparum (supported by a Boehringer
  Ingelheim travel allowance).
